Sinus Headache: Sinus Migraine Headache, Sinus Headache Treatment

The most common illness that people go to the doctor for are sinus problems also known as upper respiratory infection. These problems are called colds, blocked stuffy noses, congestive deafness, and sinus problems. We have all suffered from sinus infection, but do we know how to prevent it? The answer for sinus relief is in the body's defense system, which is the key to preventing a sinus infection. Because when your defenses are strong, you get sick less and have sinus infection that can be cured faster or not even get some at all. Inflammation in these sinuses, called sinusitis, creates head pain, eyeball aching, and even a sensation that feels like the teeth are long. These symptoms make sinusitis sound like a type of torture if you have has this feeling before then you know what it is like to suffer from sinus pain. There are some things that will help with this when you have sinus pain which can be any of the following:

A saltwater nasal spray: The best and cheapest kind of nasal spray is salt and water. This is easy for anyone to make at home all you have to do is follow the following directions. Place 1/4 teaspoon of salt and four ounces of water in a squirt gun or spray bottle, and shoot yourself in the nose with it. The salt and water combined will help break up nasal congestion. Blow your nose gently afterwards.

Get steamed

Inhaling steam can feel great. The way you can do this is to either drape a towel over your head and stand over a pot of boiling water, or take a hot steam shower, the shower usually helps people the most.  Some people like to add eucalyptus leaves or eucalyptus oil to the boiling water this helps them a lot try it, it can very well help you.

Jog it out of you

This is not effective for all people but exercise works for some people exercises such as jogging, jogging and other vigorous exercise can help drain sinuses.

Avoid smoke

when you have sinuses it is best not smoke or stay around people who do smoke because second hand smoke is also bad for the sinuses. So try to avoid being around people who smoke. Also drink plenty of fluids but no alcohol, fluids get all the mucus out of you sinus and helps you to feel better. Also do not blow your nose too hard because this can send some of the mucus back up the nose instead of getting it out and can cause a sinus infection so it is better to blow slow then too fast or hard.

Avoid dry heat

When you have sinuses dry heat can make it worse if the heating system in your house or office is gives off heat that is too dry, use a humidifier to moisten the air.  But be sure to check the humidifier regularly for mold or mildew. If you use an air conditioner be sure to keep the filter clean. It is said that if you eat hot things such as pepper spices hot Chile it will get rid of your sinuses.

There are also things you need to avoid when you have sinuses and they are as follow:

Avoid antihistamines

Although these drugs help to reduce nasal swelling, they also dry the mucous and does not let it drain.

Avoid decongestants

Decongestants paralyze the nose hairs), and stops the drainage of fluids. It is a temporary relief of congestion but there are times when it also increases it. People also develop a Avoid nasal sprays, too the yare supposed to help but they really don’t they do for a while but they could also make it worse.

The best.... BEST thing that works for me when I get sinus pressure (feels as if my nasal passages are so dry, it hurts to breath in) Try a warm saline nose wash - I use warm water with dissolved sea salt in it and one of those blue baby ear or nose suckers. I spray the inside of my nose with the saline solution and wow does it work!!! Best thing I've found to help so far!
