Headache Chat Rooms

Headaches can be a serious problem depending on the type that you suffer from. Not serious as in worrisome that it may be a more grave problem that is showing its first symptoms as headache, but serious as in how to properly manage the pain.  Your health care provider can give you advice on pain management or suggest various treatments but only those who experience headaches can really understand what the pain is like. Only other headache sufferers can share ideas that they have tried, some of which will have been successful and others not. It is only this group of people that you can truly learn from. Where do you find them?  They have chat rooms all over the Internet waiting to talk to others like themselves.

There are many different types of headaches that people must learn to deal with. There are cluster headaches, which are believed by many to be the most painful of the headache groups. These are more likely to be a man’s problem.  There are migraines, the headache more likely to be suffered by women.  But there are so many more; stress headaches, ice cream headaches and rebound headaches to name a few.  Being able to ask questions of others suffering the same pain and discomfort as yourself can help to ease your pain.

What about those of you who are parents confused by the headaches your child has begun to suffer from. A younger child may have nothing more to tell you than how much it hurts and look at you with expectation as they wait for you to make it better. Even a teenager will have difficulty in explaining what they are suffering and understanding why these headaches happen to them. Some of the frightening aspects of this and the many question that go with dealing with your child’s pain can be helped by using chat rooms. You can talk to other parents and see what they have done to help their child. Your teen can also benefit by these chats rooms by talking to kids their own age who are experiencing the same episodic pains.

What if you are pregnant and a headache sufferer? Although its easy for a doctor to tell you when you can and can’t use medication and the possible side effects of going against their advice, talking to other woman who have also worked around headaches and pregnancy could be very comforting.  Sometimes when you have a medical issue to deal with you feel that you are the only person on earth who has that problem. Communicating with others who have the same problem takes away the feeling of fear and isolation allowing the time to think of solutions instead of only the pain.

There may be several chat rooms on your topic and you may find you wind up talking to people from all over the world. That should make it even more interesting as you learn what people from other cultures do to deal with those painful headaches.

I have been suffering from headaches (back of head) and top - (a wiggly worm sensation) sometimes just the top and sometimes just the back and of course sometimes both for over one year now. I have seen a myriad of specialists and have been on many different medications - to date nothing seems to be working. I am at my wit's end. As far as I can determine, the headache was initially caused by a trauma in my life. Accompanying the headaches are extreme "burning" in my extremities. The only relief I can get is "distraction" and when I am able to sleep. Is there anyone out there who has a similar situation? I would be so grateful if someone could help me.

i HAVE BEEN ON A MED FOR MIGRAINES FOR OVER 25 YEARS, IN 2004 IT SUDDENLY BECAME UNAVAILABLE, AND FOR TWO YEARS I SUFFERED WITH MIGRAINES, IN AND OUT OF HOSPITAL ER'S, HAD TO QUIT WORK IN FEB OF 06. I EVENTUALLY LEARNED THAT THE MED WAS SOLD TO ANOTHER MANUF. IM NOW BACK ON THE MED AND IT STILL WORKS FOR ME. IT MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU, BUT I KNOW WHAT IT IS TO LIVE WITH MIGRAINES. I WOULD SUGGEST GETTING A SCRIPT FROM YOUR PHY. IT MAY JUST WORK FOR YOU ALSO. ITS CALLED SYNALGOS DC ITS A COMBINATION OF DIHYDRODEINE, ASPRIN AND CAFFEINE. IT IS THE ONLY DRUG LIKE IT ON THE MARKET. NO GENERIC EITHER

I have suffered from extreme migraines and headaches since a child, I have been on many medications as well as oxygen treatments and MRI's of my brain looking for tumors. I had just come to terms with having debilitating migraines 3-4 times a month....and then I heard about Reliv, and it has changed my life! I started taking Reliv last summer 2006 and within 30 days it changed my life. I am now headache free and migraine free!!! And my life is free! I have now been on the supplements for 8 months and in that time period I have had zero migraines and 1 headache. A true miracle for me!!! I would love to tell all of the headache sufferer's like me about Reliv and how I can help you get head ache free too! Please email me at ironspringsranch@yahoo.com if you too would like to be set free!!! Or reply to this post...I just dont check this as much as email!

I am suffering from daily headaches. They started about 4 years ago. When they first started they lasted about 2-3 weeks at a time which i thought was bad. Since Oct 06 they became daily with little relief. I've had all the scans done MRI of the brain and neck. CT's & bloods too. I've tried acupunture and have seen an Osteopath who reckons i have abnormalities in my neck and skull and he has been doing re alignment work. This has given some relief but nothing permenant. I went back to see the neurologist an d tried teling him about the Osteopath but in Ireland they do not recognise Osteopaths work. He wants tme to try beta blockers and if they don't work then Idon't know whats next. The Osteopath wants me to continue with him. I am so uncertain as to what is wrong with me and then I am listening to conflicting advice. To describe my pain, it is usually focused around my right eye, above it and my temples. I get pain across my forehead, a pulsing out the top of my head and also a containstant pain in the back of my head and my neck. I have alot of muscle tension which i have tried to get relief from through massage and even electric pulses. It is really affecting everything in my life, my socail life is non existent. WORK is a disater i have had so much time off i am afraid of loosing my job. I do not siffer from dissiness or nausea but you can see the pain in my face. hence my nickname Painface my partner calls me. He is very supportive but i don't think he or anyone realises what i am going through. Can anyone with similar problems offer some adivce?
