Headache: Headache and its effects

Improper diet is cause of severe headache, or frequent headache occurrences. Migraine food advice is available.

Headaches happen with rapid contraction of muscles inside somewhere in the skull. Sometimes the throbbing happens along with the vain on the sides of the head.  The simplest of headaches occur with tensions caused by an irritating spouse, or because of allergy to bright light and at times because the eyes are stressed with blurring vision. It may also be caused by an upset stomach (over eating) or an empty stomach (irresponsible eating habits and carelessness about food).

Women at risk

Women are at higher risk of migraine with estrogen level fluctuating in the body during menstruation. It is a reason one is helpless about.  One has to take precaution by taking the necessary vitamins and minerals that supplements the production of the hormone.  Hemoglobin levels are to be maintained at 11 per cent at least with lot of greens.

Meal manipulation

When you tell this to a woman, she may scorn at you.  She would think that you are telling her to eat big meals and a lot of food.  Make sure that you are telling her to take food in the following manner:

  • It should be a balanced diet with carbohydrates, proteins, 50 gms of fat per meal, fruits (the food should be tricoloured (white, orange/yellow and green) and a lot of fibres.  Lot of fruits and cabbage contains a  lot of fibre. It regulates the bowel syndrome and regular elimination takes place.
  • The meal should be small.  Each meal should fill your stomach by one fourth or one third at the most.  The rest of the filling should be done with juice, buttermilk, lemon water or simple water (to be taken half an hour after the meal -   the meal should contain enough water to make you wait the time needed for the food to  go into the stomach and get mixed with the bile juice for better digestion). This is also an indication of the amount of food you have taken in the particular meal. Any amount that fills more than one third of the stomach would require you to drink water immediately after taking food.)
  • There should be a number of meals, more than 6 everyday.  You would be hungry in about one and half an hour if you take small meals.  It will not add weight to the body, rather it will burn calories because calories get burnt while digestion takes place. Small food will burn all the extra calories.
  • It is good to carry about 6 biscuits or an apple that will take care of your hunger at odd times.

These measures may appear like slimming tricks, but they are meant to control headache that is caused due to tension because of disfiguring of the body with age when metabolism is on a low but the food amount does not decrease.

Irritable house scenario

With all the logic on the earth, you are not going to change anybody in your household according to your liking; the least to change is your spouse. Of course I have something to tell you; it is these habits that attracted you towards your spouse, so don’t make a scene from your side by scoffing at the same trait in his/her nature.

Therefore it is better to be cool and mind your own businesses.  It is invaluable wisdom to work towards one’s own dreams, whether or not somebody (even as close as the spouse) joins you or not.

Bright light

If bright light irritates you, then please don’t go out in the sun. If you have to, then you should be going with enough protection to the eyes like the goggles and a thin cloth around the nose and a head cover.  Carry enough liquids.  Dehydration may cause headache and headache is a precursor of imminent sunstroke.

However, if you can not stand bright diffused light inside the room illuminating it but not affecting the room temperature, then you should better check with the doctor because it is a sign of toxicity present in the blood.

Blurring vision

Blurring of vision happens after the age of 40.  However, constantly reading with insufficient light (sitting in front of the light and reading) will cause the eyesight to suffer.  The room lighting arrangement should be proper. Eye glasses should be used with doctor’s advice.  One should reduce watching TV or working with the computer for more than 2 hours at a stretch.

With such precautions, there will be very few incidences of headache.
