How a Headache and Nausea Relate

Headaches can be caused due to different reasons ranging from noise, light to medical conditions to unbalanced diet or dehydration. Stress is one of the main causes of headaches Whatever is the cause the headache is paralyzing and brings a halt in the day to day activities.

The Symptoms of Headache

The types of headaches may vary and so do the symptoms. The common symptoms however would be: throbbing temples, sensitivity to light and noise, pain while moving your eyes from side to side, pain when touching your hair and most common of all nausea.

Headache and nausea go parallel. A headache may at times turn into a migraine and the entire body suffers. Among the first to be affected is the appetite and stomach nerves leading to nausea.

Treating Headache And Nausea

In case of regular headaches and nausea, over-the-counter headache relief medicines are effective in bringing the relief. Also, keep the body hydrate by drinking a lot of water as often dehydration is the main cause of headache. However, if your headache and nausea symptoms are due to another existing medical condition, it is advisable to consult a doctor before seeking a treatment to make sure that it doesn't interfere with your present medication and health condition.

Natural Remedies

The natural remedies such as homeopathy or acupuncture may be the answer for your headache and nausea. These medications may be especially suitable if the person has a serious disease that you are treating with stronger medications and cannot afford to take any other medication for your headache and nausea symptoms.

Many natural remedies do not have any side effects; however, it is advisable to consult a doctor before seeking a treatment to make sure that it doesn't interfere with your present medication and health condition. Natural remedies may also take longer to show results, but are the safest way to approach constant headaches that have nausea as side effects.

Helpful Tip

A Headache medication is readily available without prescription in any drug store; however, there may be side effects from them such as damaging stomach lining and diarrhea. Over dose and self-medicate is a strict no-no, especially if there is an existing medication due to other health issues.
