The TMJ Migraine

Many culprits of migraine are not aware of the fact temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) causes them. The temporomandibular is where our lower jaw gets allied to our skull. When this joint gets skewed, the condition is called TMD or temporomandibular joint disorder. TMD can cause many different physical troubles together with migraine.

When misaligned the temporomandibular joint causes the muscles of your face, head, neck that environs the joint to strain, in each and everything they do. Even at quiescent condition, they remain under stress due to the misaligned temporomandibular joint (TMJ).  These strained muscles in neck, face, and head can cause different types of headaches, even migraine. TMJ headaches might also occur by increase in blood pressure. As the muscles in your face, neck, and head gets strained, they prevent blood from flowing to the exact places. As a result your heart tends to peep in more blood in that area which increases the blood pressure. This causes an extremely painful effect around the head and this condition is called vascular headache.
