Migraines are different form normal headaches and should not be treated like a normal headache. They tend to be far more severe than a normal headache and the pain can be intolerable and patients should be aware of the fact that ordinary painkillers will not make any difference and will be ineffective and special medication prescribed by a doctor needs to be taken in case of acute migraine pain. They can also cause problems like heart problems and other health hazards. A drug called ephedrine messed up its test and then it was found to cause many problems and was even fatal in many cases. Mild painkillers are generally not risky but can be dangerous if taken in large quantities.
